I bought this to use as a summer blanket and as part of my winter layering. It is not soft or plushy feeling and has a coarser hand but I am satisfied. I use it with a Pendleton Eco-wise washable wool blanket and so far this winter I have been comfortable. I plan to add a Mission Allergy luxury soft blanket, too, when the beige color becomes available. Overall, it is a quality blanket and I am pleased to have it as part of my blanket system since I do not like comforters. I would buy it again and recommend it to a friend.
