Dr. Jeffrey D. Miller

Dr Jeffrey Miller is a Board Certified specialist in Allergy and Immunology. He graduated cum laude with Honors in Biology from Queens College, where he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, and received his MD degree with Honors from the New York University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society.

He served an internship and residency in Pediatrics at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center, and did a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the R. A. Cooke Institute of Allergy at Roosevelt Hospital (now Mt. Sinai West), also in New York City. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology; a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology; and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Miller has been listed in the book "The Best Doctors in America," and in Connecticut Magazine's "The Best Doctors in Connecticut." He is a clinical allergist, and was the founding partner of Allergy and Asthma Associates, a group practice with offices in Danbury and Ridgefield, Connecticut.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Miller has conducted scientific research on dust mites and allergen avoidance for the past 20 years. His findings have been published in over 40 articles and research abstracts to date, in such noteworthy medical journals as The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, the Annals of Allergy, and the New England Journal of Medicine.

He has also served as a peer reviewer for The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, evaluating other research submitted for publication on the topics of house dust mites and allergen avoidance. Dr. Miller holds two U.S. patents on methods for killing house dust mites.

In 1984, Dr Miller saw a need for a reliable source of allergen-avoidance products for his patients, and started a company to fill that need. Today, he serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Mission:Allergy, and is directly responsible for laboratory research and new product evaluation and development.
