This set of 3 optional DualProtection Filters for the Blueair models 505 and 605 air cleaners, in addition to removing particles, also removes volatile organic compounds (VOCs), gaseous irritants, and odors coming from smoke, pets, and cooking, thanks to an additional filter layer containing high porosity coconut carbon. They replace the 3 Particle Filters that come standard in the Blueair 500 and 600 Series air cleaners.

These next-generation advanced carbon filters work up to 4 times faster than other charcoal filters, to achieve the ultimate removal of particles, gases, and odors.

Optional DualProtection Filters for the Blueair models 505 and 605 air cleaners additionally contain activated carbon for use in rooms where there are gaseous pollutants, such as tobacco smoke, odors, or volatile organic compounds (VOCs). They replace the 3 standard Particle Filters that come in the Blueair 500 and 600 Series air cleaners.  In addition to the allergen particle-trapping abilities of standard Blueair Particle filters, these DualProtection filters contain a layer of coconut carbon to trap gaseous substances and annoying odors. Replace every 6 months. Note that no air filter can eliminate all hazardous contaminants of second-hand smoke.
