Bedbug Studies
Two studies performed at ICR, an independent entomology testing lab, have proven Mission: Allergy Encasings to be bedbug-proof:
- In a study of the fabrics, both Mission: Allergy Premium Microfiber and Mission: Allergy Barrier II fabrics prevented biting of human subjects by hungry adult and nymph bedbugs, all of which bit through a control fabric.
- In a study of the zipper used in Mission: Allergy Premium Microfiber and Mission: Allergy Barrier II encasings, no first stage nymph (smallest nymph) bedbugs were able to escape, while 73% escaped the control situation.
